ECO4 Free Energy Efficiency Installations for Your Home

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) is a government energy-efficiency scheme designed to tackle fuel poverty and help reduce carbon emissions. ECO is an obligation placed on energy companies to deliver energy efficiency measures to domestic premises.

The ECO4 Scheme aims to provide homeowners, landlords and tenants with FREE insulation & heating measures helping to not only reduce energy bills but the UK’s carbon footprint. This scheme is available to landlords to help them make their properties more energy efficient.

• Air Source Heat Pump

• Floor Insulation

• External Wall Insulation

• Solar Panels

• Room In Roof Insulation

• First Time Full Central Heating

The ECO Scheme is available to Homeowners, Privately Renting Tenants and Landlords if they have an eligible tenants residing within their property. The ECO Scheme uses a ‘whole house’ approach meaning there are numerous measures available to help improve the energy efficiency of the property. The property must have an EPC rating of D/E/F/G and needs to be increased by a minimum of 2 EPC points after installation. For example, a G property would increase to an E rating, or a D property would then be a B.

You will qualify for this funding if anyone living in your property is in receipt of one of the below benefits.

• Housing Benefit

• Income Based ESA

• Universal Credit

• Income Support

• Jobseekers Allowance

• Child Tax Credit

• Working Tax Credit

• Child Benefit (subject to some income based criteria)

 

If you don’t receive any of the above benefits but have a total household income of less than £31,000 per year

you will still qualify.

You don't need to own the property to qualify, although we will need a permission from your landlord to carry out the work.

You provide us with a list of your properties and tenants contact details. We will assess whether your property is eligible and if it is, Taylormade Services will then contact you arrange an initial survey.

 

After the survey has been completed, we will give you a proposal for works.

If you are happy to proceed, provide your Landlord details and we will ask them to complete a consent form or in the case you are the homeowner request you complete the consent form, and the works will be carried out. The installer arranges the installation direct with your tenant and upon completion they claim the ECO funding on your behalf.

This scheme can help towards the costs of improving a properties EPC to the minimum required as well as reducing energy bills and attracting potential tenants.
